A commission for a 25th wedding anniversary. The wedding was held on a beach in Monopoli, Italy, so that is where the couple stand: on that exact beach, dressed as they were on their wedding day. There's a heart drawn in the sand, petals, beautiful waves, and small waves frothing on the shore.
How it was made
The sea fills most of the round base, with the foam of each wave picked out in white where it breaks on the sand. Two blossoming trees frame the couple, and a name plaque sits on the base. The last photos show the piece in progress on my desk.
